Eight Team Division-Eight teams in total, makeup two divisions, A and B.  The four teams in each of the two divisions play each other once for a total of three games.  The top two teams from each division advance to the semi-finals.  The semi-final games will have the 1st place team from A vs. 2nd place team from B, and the 1st place team from B vs. the 2nd place team from A.  The winners of the semi-final game will advance to the championship.

Tiebreaking Rules for Advancement to the Semi-Finals
Tiebreaking rules apply since semi-final placement cannot always be determined by wins and losses alone.  The following criteria is used to determine which teams will advanced to the semifinal round:

1) teams receive points; 2 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, and 0 points for a loss
2) winner of head to head, during regular tournament play
3) least goals scored against during regular tournament play
4) goals for during regular tournament play
5) first goal scored in head to head during regular tournament play
6) least penalty minutes taken during regular tournament play
7) A rule will be make by the tournament staff

Game Forfeits- Game forfeits do to a no show will automatically result in a 1 to 0 score.  The team causing the forfeit will automatically be assessed the loss.  Games ending prematurely due to a referee decision, or a team leaving the ice will automatically end with a loss being assessed to the team causing the forfeit and a win to their opponent regardless of the score.  If the opponent of the forfeiting team had been winning then the score will remain as is, if the opponent was losing then the score will revert back to a 1-0 score.  Teams causing forfeits under these circumstances will no not be eligible for semifinal or championship games.

Tiebreaking Rules for Advancement to the Semi-Finals (Example)
The tiebreaking rules determine first, second, third, etc..seeding is done on a 1 by 1 stand alone basis.   For example, three teams are tied with four points.  In head to head play team 1 beats team 2, and team 3 beats team 1, and team 2 beats team 3.  Team 1, team 2 and team 3 have goals against of 8,10,9 respectively.  Under this scenario, all three teams are tied with 4 points a piece (Rule1), so head to head (Rule 2) is applied.  Since each team beat one another we move to least goals against (Rule 3).  Since team 1 had 8 goals against vs. 10, and 9, team 1 would take the 1st seed.  For the 2nd seed we exclude team 1, and  reconsider head to head, and least goals against.  Since team 2 beat team 3,  team 2 would take the 2nd seed even though team 3 has less goals against then team 2
