
Hyde Park Rink Improvements
The Gene Harrington Tournament staff is happy to
announce that Hyde Park Ice Arena is under going a major
multi-phase renovation. Phase 1 commenced this spring and is slotted
for completion by September 2010. Phase I improvements include the
dismantling and reconstruction of the entire lobby area. The new lobby
area will offer a larger, state of the art concession stand, and pro-shop.
Conveniently located eating areas overlooking both rinks, and brand new
public restroom facilities that are handicap accessible. Also included in
phase I are a new rink office, and meeting rooms. New cooling towers for
Rink 1, and Rink 2. Freshly painted locker rooms, with new matting, and a
new ventilation system for the locker room areas including the attached
restroom facilities. The restrooms have also been rematted, painted
and have received new fixtures. They have also replace the entire roof
structure over the existing dwelling.
Phase II is slotted for the spring of 2011 and includes adding 4 spacious locker rooms on Rink 1, and expanding the locker room space on Rink 2. The rinks will receive new boards, glass, and seating areas.
